As an athlete himself, he’s an elite OCR athlete, competes in Master’s Track & Field at a National level, has been a competitive runner with a wide range from Middle School to present day, completed the 2013 Spartan Death Race and has many other extreme fitness challenges under his belt including two recent victories in 12 hour hybrid strongman/endurance events known as The Suck, played Semi-Pro Football, earned a Track/Cross Country scholarship to the University of North Texas out of HS, participated in Football, Cross Country, Track & Field, & Powerlifting in HS and was a Texas state medalist in Track.

Yancy spent four years in the United States Navy and was in the aviation industry for a total of 19 years as a Plane Captain Instructor, and Helicopter Mechanic, General Manager for multimillion dollar aviation refueling contracts at MCAS Camp Pendleton, and managed operations at MCAS Miramar, and NAS North Island. He was the Director of Operations for a large Fixed Based Operation (red carpet facility for corporate aviation) in Austin for 10 years that averaged $100,000 in daily sales.

He’s managed large groups of employees for 20 years. During his time as DO in Austin he and his wife Amy spent time creating and building sCULPture Nutrition & Fitness in to a thriving business. Long days at the airport were bookended with training sessions with athletes. Amy handles the nutrition side of sCULPture and is the Sports Performance Dietitian for the University of Texas Longhorn Athletic Department where she provides nutrition coaching for over 600 athletes. Yancy has a deep love for fitness cherishing the value physical activity can play in our long term mental and physical health.
